The Obsolescence Community is a space for Obsolescence Specialists to connect, get help and learn from each other. Here you can share your thoughts via Posts, ask your questions, share your experience when it comes to obsolescence and supply chain topics and learn about what challenges other specialists like you are facing.
We, AMSYS GmbH, designed these guidelines to help you understand how to engage with our community and what to expect from it. Please note your participation here is subject to these guidelines and Terms of Use outlined.
Engagement Guidelines
Be friendly and respectful.
- We’re a diverse, international community with different backgrounds, identities, and beliefs. Please treat each other with respect and kindness. We won’t tolerate threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, or other displays of bigotry.
- Respect the rights of others! You are responsible for the content you post in this community. Nothing you post should infringe the rights of others or violate applicable laws.
Help us keep this community helpful.
- Search first! The answer to your question or the feedback you’re looking to share with us may already have been posted in the community. Before creating a new topic, take a few minutes to search for existing posts you can potentially comment on or upvote.
- Stay on topic! Conversations will take a naturally winding course, but please do not take a thread in a completely new direction.
- Appreciate helpful answers! If someone has answered your questions or helped you resolve an issue, give positive feedback to their response. This is an excellent way to give them credit for their help and help other users identify the most useful answers.
- No spam, please! Spam includes promotional materials, excessive self-promotion, advertisement of direct competitors’ products, and recurring off-topic comments. If you see a post or comment that looks like spam, please report it to info@am-sys.com. Our moderators will assess the situation and take the necessary action.
- Be transparent! Let’s be transparent and honest with our intentions, identity, and behavior in the community. Never intentionally attempt to mislead other members. Our community is a collective of peers working together, and collaboration is so much richer when everyone comes to it with integrity and clarity.
- Support the community! Since we are an international community, the official language is English. Furthermore, to facilitate an easier exchange of ideas and being in a community which can be considered a family for obsolescence topics, we always address ourselves with the first name.
- Respect competition legislation! Comply with all relevant international competition and anti-trust law. Refrain from engaging in conversations related to trade, price-fixing and output restrictions, allocations of projects, customers, or territories.

This community is a public space. Please be careful not to share private or sensitive information (including screenshots you may upload to illustrate your posts). Our team will remove any personal information they encounter.

Your Account
By accepting our Terms of Use, you agree to keep your password confidential.
You agree that you will not share an account or your account information with anyone else and will follow our rules and applicable law. Members are account holders.
Members agree to:
- choose a strong and secure password,
- maintain passwords in a secure and confidential manner,
- not transfer nor integrate any part of their account.
You acknowledge and agree you are responsible for anything that happens through your account unless you close it or report misuse to info@am-sys.com.
Limits
We reserve the right to limit how you connect and interact in the community as well as the right to limit your use of the Services. AMSYS GmbH also reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate your account if AMSYS GmbH has a reasonable basis for believing that you may be in violation of these Terms of Use or applicable law.

Upon consent to the Privacy Policy Statement, AMSYS GmbH possesses the right to engage with members for marketing campaigns. This authorization allows AMSYS GmbH to communicate with individuals regarding various promotional initiatives. The acceptance of the Privacy Policy Statement empowers AMSYS GmbH to establish contact with members, facilitating the dissemination of information related to marketing endeavors. This includes, but is not limited to, updates on products, services, promotions, and other relevant content.
AMSYS GmbH, in exercising this entitlement, aims to keep its members informed about offerings, events, and opportunities that may be of interest. The acceptance of the Privacy Policy Statement thus signifies a mutual understanding between AMSYS GmbH and its members, enabling a transparent and consensual relationship for effective communication on marketing campaigns and related matters.
Based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR you may revoke, at any time, the consent you have given to receive marketing campaigns in various forms by simply addressing it at info@am-sys.com.
Account Deletion
We reserve the right to switch off the Services behind the community at any time. Furthermore, any member can leave at any time. If account deletion is being requested, please write an informal E-mail to info@am-sys.com and detail the reason why this was addressed. After receiving the E-mail, AMSYS GmbH will delete the account related to the E-mail address from which the request came. A confirmation is being sent to the requester after the corresponding account was successfully deleted.
Kindly be aware that the content and data supplied will continue to be visible throughout the community. This indicates that the information shared will remain accessible and viewable for an extended period. Please take note that the content and data submitted will persist and remain visible, ensuring ongoing availability for users to access and review. It is essential to acknowledge that the information provided will endure and be consistently accessible in the community for continued visibility and reference.
